Access Crashes When Trying To Compile

I am a week from a major deployment, albeit very nervous after discovering
this problem. Now when I bring up the VBA editor to try and compile, Access
crashes and asks if I want to create a backup. I'm up to backup number 9 or
10, I think.

What causes this type of thing and what is a good remedy?

At first I thought it was my laptop, so I copied the application to my 2nd
desktop box, and am currently working from there. Same problem occurs on the
2nd machine when trying to compile.

For whatever it's worth, both machines are using WinXP-SP2 with Access 2003.

On a related note, is there a tool or some VBA code that will tell me if
both Access 2003 installs on both of my machines are 100% identical?

To see if the version is identical, locate msaccess.exe (in My Computer.)
Right-click and under Properties, see if the version is identical. If you
