Access Data to Publisher

Hi...

I have an Access database and I've made a Publisher template with a handful
of Styles. Both are from Office XP/2002.

How can I get the Access fields (I don't want them all) to be "put" into a
Publisher document (the template) and assigned the correct Style (based on
an Access field I do not want to export)?? BTW... I update the Access using
a tiny VB6 (not net) App I've written.

Thanks in Advance!

Curious - Didn't realize there was that big a difference from 02 to 03.
Would regular merge features handle what the OP is trying to do?

Hi Bob and Mary...

I loaded Office/Publisher 2003 back in Feb/Mar and tried the Catalog
merge... it seemed to do the "basic" job but I couldn't get it to:

1. use my Publisher's template Styles based on a database field's value
(for instance, if RESIDENCE="R" I want to use Style of "RENTER"... if "S"
then Style of "SNOWBIRD", etc
2. Line up in a "booklet" format... my booklet is a "letter page,
landscape, 2 pages"

I probably should have said too... I am NOT expecting an "Access"
solution... I guess solution is more VB6 (if I knew Publisher values)... or
a Publisher solution using VBA! But... if I really knew... I wouldn't be
asking the experts on here!!

Thanks for responding to my problem!!!!
Steve
