Access data to word labels

I'm new to using VBA extensively, but I'm trying to find a way to take
Access data and put it into word labels through code.
I've tried using mailmerge and label maker code, taking the code from
macro but due to either my ignorance or incompatibility it's not
working.
I have several requirements to fullfill:
1. the user has an option of filling in a label number
2. I don't want to be creating a label template because of number 1
and because it will make the database unwieldy
3. the data I'm using to make these labels is from a user made query
and changes almost every time they use it

If you have any suggestions or any references I'd really appreciate
it!
