Access Database Name Automatically Changing

Every time I close the database table I am working on, it
renames the database title by adding another number, such
as Collectibles30 (where Collectibles is the name of the
database). I do not save any changes or additions to the
table to try to avoid this. Why is it doing this and how
do I stop it? Thanks.

Do you mean it changes the name of a table in your database, or it changes
the name of your database? Do you get any prompts when closing the database
(i.e. prompts asking you to save your database)? It sounds as if you may
have some corruption, and you have Compact On Close checked in the Tools -
Options menu ... but without more information it's hard to tell. What
version of Access are you using?
