Is irt possible to run an access-database (rt) on a CD-ROM with no
installastion on the local PC
The database is just for reading data, no writing.

Yes - if it is on CD it will be read-only. The users will get a pop-up
informing them of this

For Read-Only, the database can be on a CD, but they will still need Access
installed on their PC.

Hi Reidart,

It is possible if the CD-ROM contains the database application and the
computer has Access Run Time version (or full version installed) installed.
You can run the application read-only.

However, if the computer doesn't have Access run time version (or full
version) installed, you can't run the access database application from the
CD-ROM, even though the CD-ROM contains the Run Time Version (which is not
installed on the computer).

Please feel free to reply to the threads if you have any questions or
concerns.
