Access Database-Opening Tables Error Message

Everytime I try to open a table/query/report in an existing Access Database a
dialog box pops up and says "unknown" Others in my office do not have this
problem. I have tried doing a detect and repair as well as updating Office
but it does not help.

Anyone know what to do?

Umm, a wee bit more information...

1. Access version?
2. Is the databse split? If yes, then
3. What are the tables linked to... SQL Server, Access back-end tables, ????
4. OR is everyone accessing the same database file?
5. Is there any security on the database?
