Access Database opening up as Read Only

Hi,

I am a new user to Access 2003. I have created an Access database, but have
not used the Access security at all. But for some reason, when I Zip up the
file and sent it to someone and when they open it up and click on OPEN, a
message appears stating that the Access Database is read-only and you cannot
make any changes. Any idea why this would be? Since, I created this on my
machine, does access by default not giving any other maching to make any
changes. Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Have the person to whom you sent the file go to it in Windows Explorer,
right click on the file icon, and deselect the "Read Only" option in the
popup box.
