Access Database Size

T

Tom

When would you consider an Access database to be too big?

I'm looking for file size references. (i.e. At 5mb they
begin to slow. At 50mb, Access chokes completely.)

Thanks

Tom,

The maximum size for an Access 97 database is 1 GB; for an Access 2000/2002
database, it is 2 GB. So I doubt that database size is the cause of the
performance issue you are seeing with 5-50 MB databases.

I suggest you review the performance tips provided by Access MVP Tony Toews
