My database has a glitch.
I have a set of groups, you know the set of folders on the left side of the
main database window.
One of the folders acts weird. When you click on it, the Access window
disappears and you see your desktop. Access and the database are still open
– the database name with the extension ‘.ldb’ still shows in the same
Documents folder that the database is still stored in. When you click on the
..mdb, Access appears again with the database open.
The only way to select the folder is to tab to it. Even when the folder is
selected the menu option to delete it is not available.
I created this groups folder quite awhile ago and can’t remember what
shortcuts are in there – and can’t open it to see what is in there. I
believe (based on its name) that it stores shortcuts to queries.
Maybe I can do something like delete a link between the objects and the
folder in one of the systems tables or delete the folder itself somewhere
else.
