Access denied when saving to a network drive.

Ok, I have a Windows XP SP2 machine with Office 2003 installed. The user
creates a document in Word and tries to save it to a network drive and an
"Access Denied" error pops up. However, he can successfully save that
document to his desktop, and then move it over to that same network drive.
The other weird thing is that right after a reboot the document saves fine,
but after some undetermined amount of time goes by it goes back to getting
the error.
Has anyone seen this before, and have a fix?

Thanks!

Chris

Kind of sounds like he does not have write access to the particular area of
the drive. Try having is save on the local drive then copy/paste to the
desired location... that works sometimes with our drives...which is just odd.
