I have an application that was built in Access 97. The
front and back ends are located on a network server in the
branch location. Both are in the same folder and the
group "Everyone" has full control over that folder. One
user (the only one using Win XP) is having problems using
the app. The app loads with a switchboard, but when she
presses a button to load the main form she gets an error
Command can not be executed. I used a remote control
package to control her PC and tried to open the form from
the database window. I get the message " The Jet Database
cannot open filename_be.mdb. It is either opened
exclusively by another user or you need permissions to
open the file".

This happens whether anyone else has the app open or not.
I can access the app on the server from my W2K machine
with no problem. I don't understand why this one user is
having problems. Anyone have any ideas. This is a big
problem since that user has been assigned the bulk of the
data entry chores for the app.
