access denied

I have a hard drive that I wan't to format and I need to
save some stuff of the drive. But the problem is now I
can't start up the drive for some reason and it won't let
me reinstall windows and start up it just crashes.

So I loaded up a diff hard drive and used this to access
the one I wanted to format but some of the stuff I wanted
to save is on the desktop of that drive and I've a
password on the profile so it comes up with access denied.

Please could someone help I need that stuff I can't
format it without saveing it.
