Access dies on startup

Hi,

I got a problem, that Access 2002 (10.0.4032.0) crashes when ever it is
started. It gives some option to "repair the open database" and restart
Access, but it will do no good. OS is Win XP.

I've tried almost everything; Office SP1 & 2, all hotfixes, Jet 4.0 fixes,
re-installing the office with different options, but nothing helps. I even
tried with older Access 2000, but same fault comes up. The actual
"technical" error-message gives me list of more thatn 30 dll's, starting
from kernel and with no idea, what's wrong.

Since the Office is OEM product, the official MS support will not help. Any
ideas, that what could be the next move here? I am getting desperate since
the computer I am trying to fix is in production use daily.

If the error message mentions that many DLL, I would re-install Office /
Access.

remove office completely from the pc (download the ORKTOOLS from MS)
then re-install.

Thx for answears. Office has been re-installed several times now, no help.
What is "ORKTOOLS"? Is that going to help the complete removal of Office?

ORKTOOLS is the Office Resource Kit Tools. For Office XP it is available
here (all on 1 line):
