access error

I keep getting an error when searching in access97. when
using the 'find' feature to find records with the keyword
i get the error that "you and another user are trying to
change data on the same record". The problem is no one has
access to this database. is the data corrupted or is there
a fix for this?

Close the database and make sure there isn't another .ldb file. I have had
leftover .ldb files after a crash or improper closing that make Access
believe it is still open somewhere else.
