Access Family Tree

Being an armature genealogist, I have used many genealogy software packages
and finding none which suite my needs, I was delighted to find this Access
template version. As I have also designed my own Access database which works
well, I was somewhat disappointed to discover that the Gen import routine
dose not work properly, only importing 25 individuals and sometime none at
all. Unless I am not understanding something, no amount of playing around
with the Visual Basic will correct this problem. I feel this need to be
looked at. I have in excess of 2000 individual and some 800 marriages. Apart
from this, the programme is very well designed.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

I do not understand the limitation you are experiencing.

As explained - it does not seem correct...there is no limit to an import to
25 records...

Can you explain your process in more detail but keep it simple at the same
time?

It would help to know where you got this "template".

But my first guess is - it may be that it is a sample database that someone
has built in the ability to only hold 25 records.

Where did you get the application?

Andre,

I have made many different Databases for Genealogy.
None has have been as comprehensive as a commercial one.
You might want to try the program ROOTS MAGIC. It imports DBF files and of
course the GEDCOM files plus many others. It is very inexpensive for what you
get.
Just a suggestion.
