ACCESS file is growing and dumping table

I don't believe I need recovery. I need to find out why a 2500 table DB is at
17MB has started to drop tables. My access DB is getting bigger.

Please advise.

Very urgent

Just a guess, but maybe because 2500 tables is more than the maximum number
of tables that one database can hold. See Help file -- check ACCESS
specifications.

I've seen references to large Access databases which held hundreds of
tables. I don't believe I've ever seem a reference to an application with
thousands.

As Ken points out, you may have exceeded the number of objects (or table
objects) that Access can handle. If you provide further description of why
you have so many tables (i.e., what are you using that many tables to
store), the 'group may be able to offer an alternative approach.
