Access File opening Error: Upgrade Internet Explorer

I am trying to open an MS-Access 2000(.mdb) file. I am getting an error
stating that "Please upgrade to newer version of Microsoft Internet
explorer". This mdb file is taking some data through internet explorer. This
was created with IE version 6.0.2900. I also uses the same. Anybody can
provide me some quick answers.

Opening an IE browser instance is not a default behavior for an Access
Database. Thus, the custom code is the culprit. I would test the IE opening
outside of Access, then try to figure out why the code can't do it.
