Access file shares from Outlook

Hi,

I´d like to add directories or file shares from servers to the mail
folder pane on the left side of Outlook. The folders should appear
like public folders. Is this possible?

Thanks!

No, but you can add them to the Shortcuts Navigation by simply dragging and
dropping the folder from Explorer into Outlook.

Thanks for you answer. I can´t get this working using Outlook 2007. I
get the message that only files or objects can be attachments. Where
exactly do you drop the folder?

Thanks!

Switch to the Shortcuts Navigation (CTRL+7).
Then drag a folder from Explorer and drop it on the name of a group in the
left section of the Shortcuts Navigation. The default group is called
Shortcuts but you can rename that or create a new group of your own.

When doing it correctly, the cursor will switch to a shortcuts icon.
You can see a screenshot of it here;

Ok, got it. But unfortunately that´s not what I wanted. I want the
folder on the server appear in the left navigation pane like an email
folder (with the + and - signs and the tree view). Is this possible,
probably with an addin?
