Hi,

good day!

May i know the procedures on how to make access file to an
executable file. I read a lot of Access books from 97 to
XP versions but i was not able to find any.

XP versions but i was not able to find any.

I tried a number of converters to translate Access into Visual Basic, all
with limited success. Even when I was able to get a form working it required
as much time to tweek it as it would have to write it from scratch. The real
show-stopper was trying to write usable reports in Visual Basic...It can't be
done without buying an add-on report writer, which was more expensive than
having a client purchase Access.

Then a wise MS MVP turned me toward buying the developer edition of Access
XP and its been smooth sailing ever since. I still can't create an
executable, but the installer package provided with developer allows me to
package a run time version of my apps and install them on client machines. I
wasted 6 months trying to convert one app to vb without success.
