access for stock managing

So far I have been using Access in conjunction with server side scripts
(ASP), so Acces was used to store data and queries, everything else was
doing ASP.
Now I want to use it to manage small and simple goods stock, but the
computer in question is Vista which has no PWS or IIS to handle serverside
scripts and installing it does not look streightforward and because the
computer is not mine and I do not know Vista, I am trying to avoid things I
am not confident in.
1. Is Access from Office 2000 on its own sufficient to manage stock and
print out invoices?
2. Will Access from Office 2000 install on Vista?

point 1: as I developed several warehouse programs in Access I can confirm
Access can be used for that purpose. However for a stock program where about
10 people worked simultaneously and an input > 1000 records a day, I used SQL
server as back-end and Access only as front-end. For smaller businesses
Access could be used for both.

point 2: yes (although it could be you need some patches for office 2000)
