Access Help problems on Laptops

Have an Access 2000 .mde file with Sagekey Access 2003 installation code. This installs perfectly on desktops and laptops and the ACCESS functionality seems to work fine. Each ACCESS form has a HELP button with 'on-click' F1/context Help encoded to open a colocated .chm file.

While these help-buttons all work on all desktop installations, these same buttons don't work on either of the two laptops I have tested the installation on (both with Win XP). Nothing happens on clicking them

Any ideas why not
