I am looking at developing an access database which can be used in 8 Asian
countries as well as Austrlia.
If i develop one database will that be able to accept input from
Chinese/Japanese and English text.
There will be definite differences with each version. For instance, the
meddage box text will need to be re-written for each language, as will all
the labels, etc. The Regional settings in the Control Panel will affect how
each one relates to Windows. For instance you cannot put a Japanese version
of Office on an English copy of Windows, and expect everything to work
perfectly. That said, once you rebuild and compile your code and application
for each language, the data should be no problem. Just don't expect to be
storing Japanese characters, on a Chinese version of Office (or Access)
running on an English version of Windows.
