Access Installer Runs Each Time Access is Executed

I recently installed Access 2000 onto a Windows 2000 Professional system.
Every time I execute Access the windows installer runs for about 10-15
seconds. Access is operational with no apparent problems. I have already
removed and re-installed Access and rebooted with no help.

Other Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) are all working fine
with no problems. Only Access repeats the installer with each execution.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I have search the Microsoft Knowledge base
but haven't been successful as I'm not sure what I'm searching for. No error
messages are given.

Hi TechGuy,

I have the same problem. I only found that Microsoft Knowlegde Base has the
methods
for solving the similar problem of Office 2000. I have followed the steps of
method 2 but
still could not solve my problem.

Remark:
I have already changed the key from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common
to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Common

Philip,

Thanks for the info. I'm hesitant to make any registry changes unless I'm
sure that will fix the problem. Especially with a change that effects other
office products since they are all running fine. I'll keep hoping that
someone else has had this problem and resolved it.
