Access is denied when trying to del a folder

i am trying to del a folder in win xp and when i do so it
says :cannot del "folder name" aces is denied: make sure
disk is not full or write protected. it wont even let me
open the folder, but i am admin on the computer. whats
going on?

tried to del through dos as well but still did not
work.

Some folders are protected from deletion especially if they involve the
operating system. Perhaps you are trying to delete one of these folders.
What is the folder name?
