Access is denied

Problem is. Have a HD wich i used a MBR and the OS was
installed. Then I Put the HD in another machine, and i
want to copy a folder that lies in the Documents and
settings folder. Butt i i get ann errros message that
says "access is denied" I have tried to take ownership
but unsuccesful.
