I had an Access 2k db shared on a peer to peer network
with 4 other Win 2k systems. Everyting worked great, but
then came the new systems.
I added an XP system with Office 2002. Seeing how this
was the better system I moved the database to the new
system. everyting still seemed to be fine.
Then I added 2 other Win Xp systems to the network these
systems had Office 2003 but I left the DB n the XP Office
2002 system.
so I have a mutt of a network.
since I added the last 2 systems the DB works for a few
days then it locks each user out when they close the DB
and try to reopen it.
The message they recieve when they try to open the DB says
you or another user unexpectadly closed the DB, click fix
to repair the database. when I click Fix I am greeted
with invalid password. I know the password is correct!!
For some reason even when noone is on the DB the record
locking Icon is present.
Does anyone know what is going on?
