Access Ledger Account

I would appreciate help in setting up opening balances for my ledger accounts
in access.

Currently the box displays: #Name? and the tab passes the box.

How do I get to enter info in this box?

Are you working with a template that you have downloaded from Microsoft? If
so, which one (please provide the download link)?

For the tab passing the box, open the form in design view, press F4 to
display the Properties dialog if it is not already displayed, and then select
the text box in question. Click on the Other tab of the Properties dialog.
Does it include a tab stop property set to yes?

Is the control in question bound to a field in the form's recordsource? If
not, the control source may be an expression (ie. = X + Y + Z), in which case
it would make sense that the original developer set a tab stop to No.

For the #Name error, see this KB (Microsoft Knowledge Base) article:

Troubleshooting Tips for Error Values

Note: Disregard the "ACC2000" in the title, as this KB article applies
equally well to all versions of Access.
