After some great help here over the last couple of weeks, I can't really get
around my problem
My database consists of clients/contacts all of which is working fine. I
also have a ledger, this ledger was the Access 2007 ledger template readily
available to download here. I made up the relationsship etc and got that all
working fine, really everything is dandy. One would have to know this ledger
to understand what I can't seem to do. I want a control box on the initial
page to display the current balance from the ledger, but under the Dsum
function, this "total" row doesn't show up to add. I'm presuming it doesn't
because it is the automated function you can use from the ribbon". I've
looked at queries to get me that figure but I can only get the sum of
transactions and not the actual balance. I assuming it's the way the ledger
is set up somewhere. As I said, one would need to be familiar with this
template. Any suggestion are greatly welcome, especially if you know this
template, many thanks
