Hi,
Im an ODBC novice and am having a problem that an old hand
would probably know about!
I have an Access database which has some linked ODBC
tables to an Oracle database.
I get an error "ODBC - connection to 'oracleDBname'
failed".
I have tried going into "Data Sources ODBC" in Control
panel and creating a System DSN, with Driver Microsoft
ODBC for Oracle.
The DataSource Name parameter matches the DNS name for the
Linked tables in Access, and the UserName parameter is the
username I can successfully connect to the oracle DB with -
though there is no space to enter the password.
Am I doing somehting wrong or is there anything else I
should be doing to get this to work?
thanks very much for any help!
Barbara
