access.lockfile.9

Hi
I've created a database which has a front end / back end setup. It sits on a
server and colleagues use it for logging calls etc. The problem is that I
cannot edit the file because it claims to be locked by another user. This is
borne out (I guess) by the fact that there is a access.lockfile.9 in the
same directory. I know that no-one is using the file, but the lockfile
remains. How can I amend the database? Is it possible to clear the lockfile?
I've tried rebooting the machine but it's just the same. Help!!

If you are sure nobody else has the database open, you can just delete the
..ldb file. Sometimes Access seems to forget to delete it when the last
person quits the database.
