Access log in problem when using higher version

Hello,

I have an Access 97 database created and working wonderfully in a shared
network environment with security set for users, etc.
The database is joined in a workgroup I created.
Just last week our System admins upgrade Access 2000 on the users' computers
and they are having problem when logging into the database.
It says something about not able to convert database when they log in as a
user.

What can I do the fix the login problem? Thanks

Only a member of Admins can convert the database. You should unsecure the
database using 97. Then convert it, resecure it in 2000 and distribute the
new 2000 version.

Technically, you may not have to unsecure it/resecure it. A 2000 version
database should be able to read/use the 97 version of the mdw. You can try
to login as a member of Admins, convert the secured mdb to 2000 and
distribute it.
