Access MS-Word 2004 on MAC

Hi,

We need to develop MS- Word 2004 Add-in on Mac machine which will show the
word count on a separate window and we want to use C++ as platform.
Here are few questions which we need clarification on:-

1) Which IDE should be used?
2) How can we interact with the MS- Word 2004? Is there any SDK for the same?
