Access Newsgroups in Outlook Express?

T

Tom

For months now, I have use the Access Newsgroup via a
website. I have found some awesome help in here...

I have been using the newsgroup via a website though and
at times it has been difficult to browse find threads.
There's no quick preview, switch pages, etc.

I now have installed Outlook Express. While I can get
see a number of differnt Excel newsgroups, I cannot find
any for Access.

Does anyone know how to find the Access groups in Outlook
Express?

Tom,

This really depends on whether or not your ISP actually supports the Access
news groups. I'm assuming that you have set up the news server for your ISP
as an account in Outlook Express and then downloaded the list of available
groups, if the Access groups aren't on that list then your ISP doesn't have
them available.

Raist.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Knowing what the problem might be now, I have raised the
question to my company's networking technician.

Hopefully, he'll have control over setting them up.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, there are a number of Access newsgroups (including this one) available
directly from Microsoft's public news server. So, even if your employer's
news server doesn't carry them, you should be able to get them at
news.microsoft.com.

Looks like it is two names for the same server.
