Hi, Anver.
When you close Access 97 and it just minimizes to the task bar until you use
the task manager to close it (sometimes several times), then it's due to a
page fault in memory. Is this happening to all Access 97 applications on
this computer, or just one Access 97 application? If it's all of the Access
97 applications, then it could be that the installation of Office XP
overwrote some of the Windows Registry settings for Access 97, and Access 97
needs to be reinstalled. Do you have all of the latest service packs? That
may help.
If it's just one Access 97 application that refuses to close down, then look
for "odd-ball" code that's misbehaving, like using the Windows API to play
with an icon in the system tray to maximize or restore an application
window. There are several ways to encounter the page fault when customizing
an Access 97 application, but I can't think of any others off of the top of
my head at the moment. Perhaps others can make some more suggestions.
HTH.
Gunny
