Access not opening db's (no error msg)

I have two users who use access db's regularly.
In the last two days they have had problems not being able
to open any db's.
When the database is clicked (i have tried all ways to
open the db) access 2000 launches but then it stops and
the database is not opened.
I dont get any type of error, it just doesnt open.
Nothing has changed software or hardware wise on these
PC's.
Does anyone have a clue?
