I have Access 2003 which I have used to build a nice
database for tracking class registration for my
children's school. I would like to put it on our website
(low traffic) which is hosted by a third-party ISP
running IIS 5.0. I can put files on the site but cannot
make changes to the hosting server.
I put together some nice data access HTML files which
work fine locally. When I put the pages and the mdb file
on the host site, they do not work. After much monkeying
around (and actually reading the documentation), it looks
like the users would have to have LAN access to the mdb
file, which they cannot get with the ISP hosting.
Is there a way to get this to work for me? It looks like
ASP would work, but I cannot find any information on how
to create or generate the ASP files. Can they be created
from Access 2003 or is this a manual coding effort?
