Access/Outlook with automated email and email merge.

While I am an old had at making SQL databases sign and dance Access to me is
a very big unknown, and that bothers me.

I want to build what I would consider a very small system (300-400k records)
in Access which will interface with Outlook for constructing dynamic email
merge documents, PDF file attachments, and web pages. Forms will be used for
data entry dynamic, and database triggers would initiate the automated
processes doing all that is presently being done manually.

If I were using Oracle I could put this together in about a week but my
question to all of you is a list of reference material that I can review to
guide me on my quest. Anything that you can pass my way would be greatly
appreciated.

Tony,

The question that I am faced with is not can this be done because I know
that It can because in an Oracle environment I have done this. The under
lying question is do I use Oracle, MySQL or Access? The first two have a
similar environment but Access would be a new command structure and syntax
that would need to be learned and addressing the learning curve of Access and
its interfaces with Outlook would be a bit of work.

To address some of my more detailed design questions I will contact the SF
Peninsula Access User Group and pick their brains on some of the design
considerations
