Access Page Setup Options Using CreateReport Code

Hi,

Using Access 97 at the moment.

Is it possible using CreateReport and CreateReportControl coding (or
something else) to change the options you see when you go to File--Page
Setup? I'm trying to set some of these properties like page margins,
columns, column spacing, etc. while building a report in code. I have been
all over the Help files, but it would seem these properties cannot be
accessed through code. I hope I'm mistaken on this.

Is this possible to do through code?
Thanks,

Hi Allen,

Thanks for the excellent links!
This would appear to be just what I'm after.
I should have gone to my ADH book first before posting.
I'll review the book material as well.
If I have any problems I'll post back.

Thanks again!

Hi Allen,

Well I've been able to successfully set all the printer properties I need
using guidance from the ADH book. Excellent!
I have just one last question if I may. After I have created the report in
code and restored it, how do I switch the view from Design View (which is
needed to build the report) to Print Preview view? I would rather present
the report to the user in "regular" view upon completion instead of Design
View. Is this possible?

Thanks again for all the help!

OpenReport should switch to to preview for you.

You do realise that you won't be able to create reports dynamically like
that if you need to end up with an MDE for your users?

Ahhh haaa perfect!
Just what I needed.
Thank you very much!

Yes, I am well aware of that.
This is for something "special."
He....he.....he.....he.....
;-)

I may even send you a copy at some point as a thank you.
:)

Thanks for the help!
