Access pages are locking the database

There are currently several webpages that were created in
Access that query info. in the database.
There is also an employee who needs to periodically
add/update the database.
The problem is that when someone is viewing the webpage
that queries into this Access DB, the DB itself can
only be opened in read-only mode.

Is there a way to allow the webpages to view data,
and still allow the DB to be opened normally?
