Access PivotTable

I have a problem creating a Pivot Table on and Access
Page in Access 2002 for Windows XP.

My Windows XP and MS Office products are licensed and
have been completely updated as of Nov. 15, 2003. This
includes the recent update to the Access Jet database
engine.

Access 2002 apparently invokes an "Office Web Components"
PivotTable Control Wizard to create pivot tables anywhere
in Access 2002. When I "select" the PivotTable Control
and invoke the "about" link, a subscreen displays showing
that I am the Licensed owner of MS Office Web Components.

The problem is that none of the drop areas will display
in the PivotTable Control. Because the "drop areas" do
not display, it is impossible to add (Filter, Row, or
Column) fields to the table.

The toggle switch to "show" the "drop areas" is not in
the Properties box for the control, as stated in the
digital Help files. Those files reference a "Behaviors"
tab in the control's properties. There is no "Behavior's
tab" in the control properties. That tab is found in a
dialog feature that is activated by; selecting the
PivotTable Control, right clicking the "Commands and
Options" choice, selecting the "Behaviors Tab." On the
Behaviors Tab there is a check box toggle for Hide/Show -
drop areas. It will accept a check, but it does not
activate the areas and does not stay checked when the
dialog is closed. The system acts like I do not have
access to that control.

So - How do I unhide the "drop areas?"

I am only assuming that if I could activate the hide/show
switch, that my problem would be solved.

Help would be appreciatede.
