Access product release # / SP

In my copy of Access 2002, when i go to Help / About Access, i see this:
Microsoft Access 2002 (10.2627.3311)

On my client's system, i see:
Microsoft Access 2002 (10.2627.2625)

As far as i know, we both have Access "out of the box" with no SPs
installed. Does this difference in # indicate a silent upgrade in the
copy sold by MS? Also, what do the 3 values indicate? The "10" sounds
like Office 10, but the others ...

(This might relate to an inexplicable difference in behavior in my app
on client's system vs mine)

AFAIK (and I may be wrong):

10: Office version 10, i.e. XP
2627: the build number
2625 or 3311: release numbers, e.g. different cuts of the installation CDs.

10 and 2627 are the important numbers, not the 3rd number.

Either way, I think you need to apply the SP1 for both installation.

Note that the different behaviours can be the results of other factors such
as the OSs, etc ...

re installing SP1:

I will be (eventually) deploying this app with runtime (ODE).
How do service packs work with that -- can i apply a SP to the runtime
version? I really want to minimize differences in environment between
my development system and the deployed systems.

re the 3rd number - this is equivalent to "9th printing" for a book --
there should be no differences whatsoever if only the 3rd number
changes?

Then it is the more important that you apply all Service Releases / Service
Packs / Security Updates on the machine that you will use to create the
installation package. I think lots of files from this PC will be included
in the installation package created by PDW.

"9th printing" or something similar is my understanding. I never took
notice of the 3rd number.
