access program for newbie

i need to set up access to be able to scan item into it. also i would need it
to be linked to excel to hold the information that will be entered into it.
this is for a boeing cycle time at a wharehouse.

Scan from a barcode scanner? Or scan printed pages? Very different issues!

You can store the data in Access and link to it from Excel (that would
probably be preferable), or you can store data in Excel and link to it from
Access; this doesn't let you take advantage of some of the features of Access
such as relational integrity.

I have NO clue what "boeing cycle time" means, nor what you want to do with a
warehouse...

At the Boeing aircraft plant in Seattle, they have an empty warehourse.
Because of all the rain there, employees use it to ride their bicycles during
breaks. It has become known as cycle time.
