I have a networked Access 2000 application that has been running for the past
three years, with a mix of work stations. Some workstations are running NT
and some are running WIN2000. Everything has run fine for the past two
years. However, in the past couple of weeks, we have had two NT workstations
quit responding when the shortcut icon is selected. We have deleted and
recreated the icons to no avail. You can open Acces first and select the
database with no problem.
I can't figure out why the shortcut will no longer properly associate with
the mdb file. This is a manufacturing environment where simplicity is
important and the single action of clicking an icon to launch the application
is definitely the preferred option.
I'd appreciate ideas.
