We have a database in Access 97 with multiple tables that uses the MD
security features so only a few people can modify the data. I recentl
created a switchboard in Access 2007 for the other users in our compan
to query one certain table and output a report (using Runtime) so nobod
else is able to modify the data in the table except the few that use 97
There are no users that have multiple versions installed. Everyon
that has 2007 Runtime does not have 97 installed and vice/versa.
This seems to be working fine except for times when our 97 users canno
add a record to the main table in the database, it flashes “record se
is not updatable” at the bottom and all the records are viewable bu
cannot add a new one. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I’ve bee
able to add a record while another user has 2007 Runtime open. I can’
seem to find a pattern. Any suggestions
