Hi,
I downloaded a skeleton MS Access computer (MS 2000) lab file for a graduate
class. When I tried to perform the required report exercise, (sort by two
attributes, ascending) MS Access 2002 would not display the desired
attributes in the dropdown box for sorting by ascending.
I currently have MS Access 2002. MS Access help and "Access for Dummies"
did not help. I repeatedly canceled the "Report wizard" and re-entered the
report attributes (while I searched MS help and "Access for Dummies", elapsed
time, 4 hours) until the desired attributes showed up in the report dropdown
box (for some unknown reason) for selection.
I have a knowledge management capstone course, and a technical design
project course as part of my GWU professional degree of Engineer (engineering
management w/focus in knowledge management) yet to complete.
Despite my GWU teaching assistant's exhortations for potential application
in an enterprise knowledge management strategy, when will MS Access eliminate
the "infamous quirks" so I can consider this application a serious contender
for utility in an enterprise knowledge management strategy solution?
Thanks, Paul
