Access report

Hi Lei,

The Microsoft Access help topic "Specification" states over the life time
of the Form/Report you can have 754 controls. But keep in mind that's not
exact (i.e., other variables come into play).

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

| Does anyone know what's the max number of fields allowed

Eric,

Actually I create the report based on an existing query
which has 69 fields totally. An error message " The
wizard is unable to create your report or form because
you choose too many fields, please try again with fewer
fields" when I use the wizard to set the report
layout in tabular, but not in columnar.

Does the 375 means the max number of fields allowed in a
tabular
layout report? what's the 754 controls mean? Do you think
if there are something wrong in my creating report
process?

Thank you very much!
Lei

Oh I see!!!

The number of fields the Report wizard can accept is dependent on the size
of each field. No sure fire way of knowing exactly what the Report Wizard
will accept.

754 Controls is the maximum (in theory) that you can manually add to a
Report. Again I say in theory!!!

Eric
