Running Access 2000 on Win XP workstation. Access database response time is
extremely slow. Same database's response time on a Windows 98 workstation is
substantially faster. Any suggestions for tweaks or fixes much appreciated.
You must mean Office 2000 SP3. Did the slowdown in performance occur
when you moved from Win 98 or when you installed SP3?
When moving from Win 98 to a Win NT line of OSs, such as Windows XP
the problem is almost certainly LDB locking which a persistent
recordset connection or an always open bound form corrects (multiple
users)
