ACCESS Security files and networks

Ok, Here is a brief summary. I have a database that runs in a strange
way. It is all based out of MS Access 2002. Basically, the MDB with the
tables and data resides out on the Network. The security file resides in
the same directory with the MDB file.

Users access the database via an additional MDB file which contains all
the forms/reports/queries etc. This MDB file is located on their local
workstation and links to the table in the MDB file on the network.

Here is the problem.... I am randomly using accounts for users. I work
at a school and the students often forget their passwords. This
morning I deleted and recreated one account, the easiest way I have
found to do things, and then this afternoon their account was no
longer in the MDW file. I do allow users to change their own passwords
and have not really built in enough error trapping and I think that may
be causing some of the problem but any ideas?

Thanks

Christopher,
Why are you deleting and recreating accounts? If you log on as a member of
the Admins group you should be able to clear a user's password for him/her.
