Access splash screen

Is it possible to change the default Access splash screen to a logo of my
choosing? I am not talking about showing a splash form after Access has
loaded.

Thanks in advance.

yes, just place a bmp with the same name as the mdb, or mde file in the same
directory.

eg:

mySales.mdb
mySales.bmp

So, make a nice little logo...and save it as a bmp with the same name as the
mdb file..but with of course the bmp extension....

Very nice Albert. Is it possible to extend the period when the custom splash
screen is displayed? I just followed your instructions and the splash was
there for well under a second. I would have have missed it if I hadn't been
expecting it.

Well, ms-access is 14, going on 15 years old now. In the old days...load
times were very large..and you could read that splash screen no problem.....

There is no way to increase the time. So, you can build your own spash
screen as a form. Just place a 2 x2 tiny bmp in the directory. This will
PREVENT the splash screen (well, ok...it does not prevent...but no one will
notice a tiny 2 dot screen!!)...

now...just build your own as a startup form in access....

Thank you Albert. I figured that would be the answer - but if I'd not asked
....!

Good idea about the mini bmp. I'll set about my own splash screen.
