Access table problems

I am having a problem with a table in Access 2000 The
table contains around 25000 records. the problem is the
table has grown virtually overnight to 1.25 gig. it
should be less than one tenth that size. this is the
second time this has happened. the table works fine and I
have been unable to determine a cause or remedy.

There are a number of causes, however some are triggered when using ADO, DAO
or batch deleting.
Depends exactly on how yr table is set up and used
